Mickey’s PhilharMagic: A Feast for the Senses
By Gwen Morrison

Disney's Philharmagic Show large viewIf you’re planning to visit the Magic Kingdom, you won’t want to miss out on the new 3-D movie, “Mickey’s PhilharMagic.” The 12-minute show, playing nightly at the Fantasy Faire Theater, takes 3-D animation to a whole new level.

Starring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and all your other favorite Disney characters, Mickey’s Philharmagic will take you back to your childhood when magic and make-believe filled your senses. Magic is in the air!

“We’re really excited about this new attraction,” said Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “Guests love the Disney characters and films, and this gives them the chance to take a magical ride right into the world of Disney animation.”

The latest attraction at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom took three years to complete. The combined efforts of Walt Disney Feature Animation and the Walt Disney Imagineering teams brought this fantastic production to life, making it a show that you won’t want to miss.

The show takes guests on a magical journey through some of Disney’s favorite movies. Donald is in hot pursuit of a runaway “prize” and is asked by Lumiere to “be our guest.” He is catapulted into one escapade after another – washed away by Brooms (Fantasia), joins Ariel under the sea, and flies high with Peter Pan and Tinker Belle as the music dances around him.

The sights, sounds, and even the smells of Mickey’s PhilharMagic float through the air at the Concert Hall. The incredible presentation is one that gives you a first-hand look at the creative genius that is behind the Imagineers and Artists of Disney. Their talents and visions are unsurpassed as they create, again and again, magical places for visitors to the Magic Kingdom.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic, set in the PhilharMagic Concert Hall, features the largest seamless projection screen in the world. The screen measures 150 feet long and 28 feet high. The theatre seats 486 guests, with space for 10 wheelchairs.

If you are visiting the Magic Kingdom, you won’t want to miss this incredible show. A feast for the senses, Mickey’s Philharmagic will delight visitors of all ages.
