Nine hotels and inns on Amelia Island have re-launched the popular “Pack Your Bags for Amelia Island” program, providing air travelers up to an $80 room credit for checked baggage fees on stays of three or more nights. The program is in place through the end of the year.
“For the past three years, Amelia Island accommodators have come together to offer this program to visitors,” said Gil Langley, President and CEO of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We want visitors to experience Amelia Island without being penalized for bringing a suitcase or two.”
Located just off the coast of Florida, Amelia Island boasts 13-miles of beautiful beaches, abundant native wildlife, and pristine waters. Voted among of the Top 5 North American Island’s in Conde Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards in 2009, Amelia Island is a long-time favorite for beach goers.
