Air Travel Expert and Pilot
Captain Stacey L. Chance
I
currently fly as a Captain for one of the world's largest airlines.
I was raised in Northern California and still make my home there
with Fran, our teenage son Robbie, and our newest addition Cassidy.
In 1983 I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from
the Engineering Department at San Jose State University and have
flown professionally for over 25 years. I have logged more than
15,000 hours of flight time since becoming a pilot. I hold many
pilot ratings and licenses including Airline Transport Pilot, Flight
Engineer, Advanced Flight Instructor and Ground Instructor Certificates.
I also possess an Airframe & Power Plant Mechanic License. I
enjoy flying everything from little ultralights up to Boeing jumbo
jets.
A couple of years ago I created this online course to teach people
to feel confident about flying. Thousands have been through my course
and have provided valuable feedback. I use this feedback to update
the course to address the most common concerns of fearful flyers.
I also draw on my own experiences observing and talking with nervous
passengers. My Fear of Flying Help Course has helped many people
feel better about flying.
I am NOT a licensed therapist or counselor. If
you have a serious underlying problem in your life that may be a
contributing factor in your fear of flying, I ask that you seek
professional help.
