Phillip Morris is responsible for the general operations of MEDJET Assistance, LLC, including overseeing the logistical coordination of all domestic and international medical evacuations for its members worldwide. He has spent his career to date in the air medical transport and assistance industry as well as the group health and life insurance industry.

After college he began his professional career as a Registered Nurse at the University of Alabama Medical Centers in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. During this time he also logged a number of hours in the University’s air ambulance as a flight nurse, where he first learned the basics of the fixed-wing air ambulance industry first hand.

Later, while attending graduate school, Phillip changed career paths and accepted a position with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama in Managed Care. During his eight years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Phillip was promoted several times and in 1992 was one of less than 30 Group Sales Executives employed by the company.

For the past 10 years, since he first became affiliated with MEDJET Assistance as Director of Marketing in 1992, he has become an expert in the air medical transport and assistance industry. He has spoken to local and international groups on minimizing risk during international travel, and what to look for when purchasing travel insurance.
